ABOUT CHRISTOPHER MISSICK
Graduating high school, I moved to Sacramento, CA where I attended
California State University Sacramento and became active in the
university and the community with social, political and service organizations.
I took some time off in college to join the US Army Reserves. I wanted to
serve our country, and having the opportunity to wear the uniform instilled
immense pride in me. I left Sacramento for Basic Training in May, 2001, just
a few months before the event that would come to change our country and
our military.
After Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training to serve as a radio relay
operator, I returned to Sacramento to complete college. Five months after graduating CSU Sacramento with a degree in Government, my Reserve unit, the 319th Signal Battalion, was deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom. While deployed, I was noted as one of the early milbloggers, blogging from my small camp on the Iraq-Kuwait border, and featured in countless print and broadcast media.
Having completed my Juris Doctorate with honors, I am currently working on developing several new businesses, including GJM Engineering, a new engineering construction firm dedicated to rebuilding America’s infrastructure through public works’ projects that are currently being planned. Other ventures include LawyersBestFriend.com, a new company with the goal of connecting lawyers with highly trained law clerks to process bankruptcy petitions.
Finally, I am working on serving those consumers in Souther California that have been most harmed by the current economic climate. Working as a bankruptcy attorney, I have made it my life’s goal to help these Americans get back on their feet and begin rebuilding their American dream.
